Having lost a year or two of partying to the pandemic, our lives (read: days left of clubbing) are simply too short to listen to DJ sets without recognisable songs we can belt out. Cue the ‘Queen of R&B edits’, Boiler Room favourite, and founder of the all-female DJ community Girls Can’t DJ, Jordss.
Whether it was mixing Cardi B’s twerk anthem ‘WAP’ with Mariah Carey’s iconic R&B ballad ‘We Belong Together’, or Rihanna’s ‘B***h Better Have My Money’ over bhangra beats, the London-based DJ had the Shoreditch House crowd eating out of her hands earlier this month. Playing a faultless selection of 2010s R&B classics, new-school afrobeats and dancehall throwbacks, revellers partied until the early hours of the morning.
