House Nights: Soho House Istanbul turns seven

Everybody knows that the best thing about turning a year older is the obnoxiously over the top party you’re allowed to throw. For Soho House Istanbul’s seventh birthday, that’s exactly what we did. Like all good celebrants, the House was dressed to the nines, with the palazzo’s facade donning a dramatic balloon structure – an indication of what was to be expected inside. 

All night long, the main bar was heaving with members and their guests (Champagne coupes in hand, of course), dancing to DJ sets from Q-BRA, Garan Garan and Jodie Harsh, with Sarp Dakni and Vasil Vingas holding it down on the ground floor. The night’s standout moment came when legendary disco group, Sister Sledge, took to the stage, with the crowd belting out all their classics with frontwoman Kathy Sledge.
