House Nights: George Clinton brought the funk to Nashville

Presented by our friends at Bacardí, the funk legend shared his art and music at our House in Tennessee

George Clinton, known for starting a movement of American funk music in the 1970s, has found a new beat: shaking up the art world. His collection of paintings, entitled Grooves From The Deep And The Space Math Of George Clinton, opened last week at member-owned Cëcret by Cë Gallery.
At an exclusive members-only preview of the show, guests were greeted by three custom Bacardí cocktails masterminded by Soho House Bar Manager, Zak White. Clinton held an artist talk moderated by Sean and Spring McManus of Spring McManus Art Advisory in The Sock Room, followed by an electric Soho Presents performance. With Clinton playing to a packed crowd, members being pulled up on stage, and Bacardí cocktails flowing, it was a night to remember.
Check out the show on display at Cëcret by Cë Gallery in Nashville from 9 to 31 July.
