DUMBO House lit up Tuesday night to celebrate Black creatives in the fashion industry for what host and producer CJ South called ‘a fashion family reunion’. South called on the event as ‘a celebration of our impact, our importance and our ingenuity’. Hosts and celebrity glam artists Jawara Wauchope, Dawn Sterling, Raisa Flowers, and CFDA’s Emerging Designer of the year, Edvin Thompson of Theophilio, partied with designer Victor Glemaud all night.
Listening to a soulful performance from Ian Isiah, spotted among the crowd were supermodels Joan Smalls, Alton Mason, Anok Yai, and Adut Akech, alongside A-list casting directors, producers, and designers. DJ Olivia Dope’s 1990s and early 2000s hip-hop R&B set and DJ Wemi’s afrobeats kept the crowd dancing into the early morning.
