There’s no such thing as a quiet month at Soho House. Around the world, our members have joined us for events including celebrations for the Fourth of July in the US, live performances from global names, and some very special dining experiences. Sohoroo returned for the fourth year, in celebration of Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. With the help of c3 Presents, we curated a line-up of festival-featured performers and local talent, including a pop-filled performance from Natasha Bedingfield in the Sock Room.

Wax Tales: Laura Mvula
Cities Without Houses, Dublin
This month, our Cities Without Houses Wax Tales event series returned. With the help of a surprise guest, host Tara Kumar leads a conversation based on musical discovery. For this event, Kumar was joined by musician Laura Mvula, who discussed the 12 records that have influenced her life, work, and success. As part of the evening, Jacob Read and the team at Bordio designed The Speaker, a bespoke audio speaker and art installation.

As part of a European House tour that saw the event pop up at Little Beach House Barcelona, Soho House Amsterdam, Soho House Barcelona and Soho House Paris, members joined us for an authentic Oaxacan dining experience, featuring chef Rodolfo Castellanos from Oaxaca, Mexico. The immersive culinary journey featured a set menu with three cocktail pairings made with Ilegal Mezcal – plus live music.

As part of a European House tour that saw the event pop up at Little Beach House Barcelona, Soho House Amsterdam, Soho House Barcelona and Soho House Paris, members joined us for an authentic Oaxacan dining experience, featuring chef Rodolfo Castellanos from Oaxaca, Mexico. One Night Only: mindful dinner with chef Ivan Tisdall-Downes and TRIP

At our central London House, we hosted a One Night Only dinner with Michelin Green Star chef, Ivan Tisdall-Downes, in partnership with TRIP. Guests were taken on a journey of taste and wellness with a curated four-course menu featuring calming seasonal ingredients, paired with refreshing drinks by TRIP.

In New York, we celebrated the Fourth of July holiday poolside with our friends La Roche-Posay. As members soaked up the sun, cooled off in the pool and enjoyed a specially curated drinks menu, our House DJ provided a relaxed soundtrack – all with La Roche-Posay’s range of skincare products on offer to try throughout the day.

Best known for his iconic work on films like 1917, Skyfall, and No Country For Old Men, legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins was interviewed by Adam Madrzyk for a conversation about Byways – Deakins’ personal collection of still photography. The pair discussed his inspirations, as well as the way he translates his masterful eye for light, composition and atmosphere from film to still images.

Botanicals by the pool: a summer floral masterclass

We hosted an evening of creativity with Warehouse 12 Studio, inviting members to explore the art of floral design. After being guided through the basics of colour theory and texture, along with foundational techniques in creating the perfect arrangement, guests left the event with their own floral piece, which they designed and created from scratch.

For this special summer edition, we invited chef Neil Ayuni, founder of Ayuni, to prepare a Mediterranean feast of authentic and innovative dishes. The communal dinner highlighted local ingredients, while the non-traditional dinner set-up – no set seating – sparked connection and conversation around the table.

As creatives are increasingly considering the role AI will play in their craft, we partnered with AI KATANA to take over Bar Somma for an evening exploring how generative tools are reshaping film, fashion, music, and design. Deeps De Silva, founder of AI KATANA, was joined by new media artist Shavonne Wong, Vogue Singapore publisher Natasha Damodaran, and lawyer and co-founder of &AI, Weiran Zhang.
