House 44 arrives in Japan for the F1® Japanese Grand Prix

House44 Japan

Our collaboration with F1® and Lewis Hamilton brought our hospitality suite in the Paddock Club™ to Suzuka for its first outing of the season this year

The last few days have been big ones for Soho House. On the weekend before we officially open our first Japanese club, Soho House Tokyo, Formula 1® headed to the Suzuka Circuit for the third race weekend on this season’s F1 calendar. And with it, came the return of our onsite members’ pop-up, House 44 at Paddock Club™, created in collaboration with F1 motor-racing star, Lewis Hamilton.

‘Wow,’ said Hamilton when he stepped into the House 44 suite last weekend, ‘the place looks great.’ As its inaugural race weekend for 2026 after a successful first season last year, it was great to be back in the space. Located in the Paddock Club, it places guests in the centre of the action, with excellent views across the track for those pivotal race-day moments, including a second win for Italian driver Kimi Antonelli.

Get the inside track to the 2026 races and book your House 44 pass here.

House 44 is designed to be somewhere for members and guests to relax and unwind in signature Soho House style while being able to immerse themselves fully in the spirit of race weekend. Alongside curated drinks offerings – including House favourites and, in select locations, drinks from Hamilton’s own alcohol-free spirits brand, Almave – members can enjoy a programme of events and entertainment, including Q&As, and music and DJ sets.

Hamilton spoke warmly of Japan during his Q&A, highlighting its globally renowned car scene and the energy of its car meets (he even attended a local meet and drove one of his favourite cars, the Ferrari F40). He talked honestly and openly, too, about his battles on the track so far this season alongside teammate Charles Leclerc, which have been among the most compelling on the grid.

‘When you start in karting and work your way up… those battles get harder and harder to have,’ he said, underlining why those moments remain so important for drivers, while emphasising the value of clean, competitive racing at this level. The Suzuka Circuit, he told us, is one of the purest tests of driver confidence.

And Hamilton wasn’t the only member of the motor-racing fraternity to drop by. Japan’s Yuki Tsunoda, and former racers Jean Alesi from France and Canada’s Jacques Villeneuve also stopped by to share their own perspectives across generations of the sport with members and guests. Over the course of the weekend, this included the likes of Chris Pratt, Jack Black, and Anya Taylor-Joy, who enjoyed some time in House 44 on Sunday as the weekend’s races drew to an exciting close.

A House 44 pass took the experience further, inviting guests behind the scenes to take part in daily pit lane walks, Paddock tours, and guided track tours, which broke down Suzuka’s most challenging corners with expert insight. They were also offered a unique opportunity to join the podium ceremony and witness Kimi Antonelli celebrate his second win in a row first-hand.

Across all three days, House 44 followed the rhythm of the race weekend – building from practice into qualifying, before culminating in Sunday’s Grand Prix. The Japan Grand Prix was just the first chapter in House 44’s global tour for 2026, which continues at a range of international venues across the season – see the full list below.
