3. Sacred morning meditation with Shabazz on Tuesday
This midweek centering meditation session, hosted by multidisciplinary artist Shabazz Larkin, is also a sonic journey of soul music. Larkin gives simple instructions for bringing awareness to the body, the sensory experience, the breath, and finally to centre. His instruction is steeped in the Zen tradition of connecting to our present moment with mindful awareness. Larkin is a visual artist, student of mindfulness and head of content for the True Voice app, a virtual wellness studio. He uses soundscapes of deconstructed jazz, blues, R&B and gospel in tandem with the meditation. Meditation includes the sound healing contributions of special guest Larry Jenkins. Limited capacity. Seating is first come, first served.
