Around the Houses: Halloween in North America

We take a look at how our members celebrated All Hallows’ Eve across the US
By Abigail Hirsch
After a year hiatus, Soho House’s famous Halloween parties returned. Kicking off with a gothic gala at Ludlow on Thursday night, the events continued throughout the weekend from coast to coast – from disco drag to haunted houses. Check out the best moments of our spooky celebrations.

Limelight, Ludlow House
Bungalow 8, DUMBO House
Copacabana, Soho House New York
Starting on Thursday, each New York House transformed into an iconic nightclub of the city’s past. Ludlow House paid tribute to Limelight, the club born in a gothic revival church. Over in Brooklyn, DUMBO House became Bungalow 8. And with Latin music and extravagant decor, Saturday night at Soho House New York turned into the famous Copacabana club.

A Night at the Ball, the Category is Studio 54, Soho House Toronto
In Toronto, A Night at The Ball brought iconic Studio 54 energy to the House. With each floor themed around a different era in ballroom history – old world, new world, and vogue femme – members danced through the decades in bell bottoms, glitter, and disco attire.

Legends and Divas, Soho Beach House Miami
At Miami offsite Ice Palace, like a scene out of an old Hollywood film, members resembled legendary movie stars as they danced throughout the House representing decades of pop culture icons.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Fect’ry, Soho House West Hollywood
Soho High, Soho Warehouse
Silent Disco, Little Beach House Malibu
Symone, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13, hosted Soho House West Hollywood’s Willy Wonka-themed bash. A crowd full of Oompa Loompas and golden tickets danced throughout the courtyard and candy-filled House. Downtown at Warehouse, the theme was Soho High – a nostalgia filled the room of jocks, cheerleaders, and memories of members’ wonder years. Over at Malibu, everyone boogied the night away at the beachside silent disco.

Soho House of Horror, Soho House Chicago
Built in 1908, the Allis Building, home to Soho House Chicago, came alive for All Hallows’ Eve. Ghosts and ghouls haunted members for an unforgettable, spooky evening of horror.

Boogie Nights, Soho House Austin
The spirit of the 1970s Sunset Strip lit up Soho House Austin’s Boogie Nights Halloween bash. Members in search of the secret burlesque show stumbled upon arcade games, a disco ball-filled pool, and a screening room showing Halloween flicks.
