Join us for a day-long celebration with Bimini at Brighton Beach House and travel from London in style on the iconic Belmond British Pullman train

Tuesday 12 July 2022 By Anastasiia Fedorova

Whether you’ve got post-Pride Month blues or a yearning for a seaside adventure, we’ve got you covered: a whole day of celebrations for Brighton Pride aboard the Belmond British Pullman train. Departing from London Victoria, you’ll be served a three-course drag brunch and delivered to the doors of Brighton Beach House for our inaugural Pride party. Then, it’s back to London to kick off your dancing shoes, with a three-course dinner on the way. Departing on Saturday 6 August, we’re already counting down the days.

London to Brighton: drag brunch

Drag brunch is a bit of an institution these days – there’s nothing like Champagne, sequins and lip synching before midday to shake off your worries. But Belmond British Pullman elevates it to a true high-class escape: departing from London Victoria station at 10am, enjoy a three-course brunch accompanied by a Bellini and outrageous queens – Cheryl Hole, Vanity Milan and Kitty Scott-Claus – making their way through the carriages.

For those who know their drag a bit better than their transport infrastructure, Belmond British Pullman is no less legendary than RuPaul herself. The carriages (with the oldest one, Ibis, dating back to 1925) have been lovingly refurbished in all their Art Deco glory: veneered panels, polished brass, mahogany wood, and comfy plush armchairs.

House of Trash Pride party at Brighton Beach House

If that’s not enough to make you dust off your most glamorous outfit and sky-high heels (no jeans and trainers on board, please), we’ll be heading straight to the Pride party at Brighton Beach House upon arrival in Brighton at 1pm.

The party is hosted by House of Trash and Bimini, no less than the UK’s finest drag royalty. With a wristband that you’ll pick up during the train journey, you’ll be entitled to an unlimited supply of drinks at the House – House Tonics wine, beer, spirits and Prosecco to cheers to Brighton Pride’s 30th anniversary. The city has had a special significance for the UK’s LGBTQIA+ community: don’t forget to peek at the special collection of queer art curated for the House by Gemma Rolls-Bentley. Did we mention Brighton Beach House has an iconic banana-shaped bool to dip your toes (or responsibly throw yourself) in, too? Fingers crossed for a heatwave.

Brighton to London

After the festivities, you’ll be welcomed back on board the Belmond British Pullman train with a glass of chilled Champagne. Make yourself comfortable and savour a three-course dinner with half a bottle of wine as you return to London. Mark Saturday 6 August in your calendar.

The return trip aboard the Belmond British Pullman train usually costs £475 per person, but Soho House members can book up to four tickets for £350 each, which includes brunch and dinner with drag entertainment, plus drinks throughout the day at Brighton Beach House.
