Frequently asked questions

You will accrue points every time you use your membership. Members who regularly engage with their membership will see the most value. This includes booking bedrooms, proposing new members, upgrading to Every House membership, visiting the Houses for food and drinks, spending at one of our Soho Health Clubs or shopping at Soho Home. All members will also be gifted points to mark the anniversary of their membership. These points will then be converted into credits. For every 10 points you will earn £1 in credits.
 
For credits to be issued, your payment must be assigned to your account. We are not able to retrospectively assign payments. Payments made using House Pay will automatically be assigned to your account. Please ensure all payments taken directly with the team have been linked to your membership number. This includes purchases at Soho Home and Soho Health Clubs.
Members can spend them in the Houses on bedroom bookings, and food and drink purchases. Member credits cannot be spent at Soho House Istanbul, Soho House Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Soho House Mumbai, Soho River House, Soho Beach House Canouan, or at any affiliate hotels. They also cannot be spent on Soho Home, Cowshed or Soho Skin.
To spend credit in the Houses, members will need to download the Soho House app to use our payment system, House Pay, without the need for a membership card. If you are in a region that doesn’t support House Pay, you can still use your credits by presenting your membership card to your server who will be able to apply the credits to your bill.
You will not earn points on service charge, gratuity/ tips, or any gift card purchases
 
Points can be earned at any of our Houses worldwide, excluding Soho House Istanbul, Soho House Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Soho House Mumbai, Soho River House, and Soho Beach House Canouan

The easiest way to see your credit balance is within House Pay on the Soho House app. If you’re in a region that doesn’t support House Pay, please go to https://www.sohohouse.com/settings/credit and sign in to view your balance.
Credits will be calculated and available to spend from the first day of every month. You can view how many credits you have at any time under ‘House credits’ in the Soho House app. We will send you an email at the start of every month to confirm the total number of credits accrued for the previous month. 
Your credits will expire on Sunday 28 December 2025.
Yes, you will be emailed two weeks before your credit expiration date to let you know that they will be expiring soon.
You will need to book your stay as normal using your credit card, and we’ll charge you the deposit. Then, when you check out, your credits can be used towards the full amount you’ve spent during your stay, including the deposit. Please note, the deposit amount charged varies by site. Your stay needs to be completed within three months of your credits being loaded.
Credits can be used for bedroom bookings, and food and drink purchases in our Houses. Please note, all credits must have been spent by their expiry date or they will automatically expire.
Yes – please make sure this is clear when making the booking. Please also note that if your balance does not cover the bill at checkout, the staying guests will be liable for the remaining balance.
Member credits cannot be used to pay for any membership fees.
No, your credits are just for you to use and they are non-transferable.
The credit amount earned is determined by your actions and purchases, as well as the group you are in. Your group is calculated by your length of membership, membership type, plus your spending from 2024. 
No, credits cannot be used towards private hire.
Yes, but you would have to be present with the other member and pay for their bill at the House. For example, you could be dining with another member and you both pay for the bill at the same time with both of your credit balances.
No, your credits can only be used on food and drink purchases and will not be valid on gratuity. 
For bedrooms and food and drink, your credits will be converted automatically into the local currency when you pay your bill.
You are able to use credits against the extra night, but would not be able to redeem against the night that you’ve already paid for, or swap out the deposit in place of credits.
