After spending most of the pandemic in her home of Zambia, Sampa Tembo – known professionally by her stage name, Sampa The Great – is (very soon to be) back in full performing force. Ahead of her first scheduled European appearance this year, Tembo stopped by our central London outpost yesterday to perform a stripped back set with her band, who earlier in the year made history at Coachella as the first all-Zambian musical ensemble on the bill.
