Soho House Portland

This collection responds to the unique creative community in Portland, and takes a diverse and inclusive approach to artists at various stages of their career.
The Soho House Portland art collection is home to more than 140 artworks by 63 artists, primarily born or based there, including several site-specific commissions by Andrea Alonge, Salomée Souag, Jess Ackerman, and Sa’rah Sabino. The main club space in the House, dubbed the ‘Rose Room’ within our collection, brings together artworks tied to Portland’s moniker as the Rose City. These showcase a breadth of styles, mediums and experiences, with works spanning ceramic, photography, sculpture, digital collage, painting, graffiti, and pencil on paper.
As well as many emerging talents, the Portland collection is proud to have acquired work by rising regional stars, most notably Julian V. L. Gaines and Christine Miller. It currently serves as the largest permanent presentation of contemporary works by Portland-affiliated artists.
This collection was curated by Anakena Paddon, Soho House’s Art Collection Manager.
