NEW YORK: Casey Fremont

woman sitting in front of bridge

Casey is the executive director of the Art Production Fund, a non-profit that presents public art around the world.

What’s your favorite spot in your House and why?
‘I love the terrace bar at DUMBO House, it feels like you’re on vacation while you stare at the most stunning view of the city — including my apartment building.’

Has there been a specific event at the House that you’ve loved?
‘Of course I love the talk we did with Art Production Fund. But one of my favorite times at DUMBO House was a sunset dip in the pool I took with my husband the evening of my due date with our third baby.’

Do you have a favorite piece of art in a House?
‘Zoe Buckman’s work at DUMBO House.’

What was the last great meal you had?

‘The paella my husband made at home last night.’

LOS ANGELES: Stephen Kenn

Stephen is the founder of Stephen Kenn Studio, a Los Angeles-based design studio that creates original pieces for home and travel.

Aside from Soho House, what’s a place in LA where you’ll always take a visitor?
‘Redbird — that restaurant has a special place in my heart. Also, Kazu Nori for the hand rolls, and then there’s Night Market and Sqirl... this is a rabbit hole because the list just goes on and on.’

Do you have a favorite piece of art in a House?
‘I love the Damien Hirst shark in Soho House Berlin. There is something very raw about it. A lot of his work is very produced and polished but I like the crude materials and sloppiness of it.’

What was the last great meal you had?
‘Oh my, I can’t say enough good things about ANTICO in Korea Town. It’s Italian food by Chad Colby. You’ll be happy you went.’

What’s the last song you listened to today?
‘I am training for a half marathon and just finished a 7 mile run. I think I ended with a song by Ratatat called “Wildcat.”’

CHICAGO: DJ Chava

woman looking at records

DJ Chava is a Mexican DJ based in Chicago. She is known for her mix of reggaeton, latin trap, bachata and cumbia with hip-hop and R&B.

Has there been a specific event at the House that you’ve loved?
‘The Cinco de Mayo party that I DJ’d last year has to be one of my favorites. It’s great to see the Soho House community commemorate the Latin culture in the way that they did. Especially when they had the Herencia de Mexico Mariachi Band prior to my set. It was definitely a night to remember.’

What do you love about your city?
‘Besides the fact that it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the food is amazing and you’ll always find something to do. I also have to say that this city breeds some of the realest people you’ll ever meet. It's full of hardworking, ambitious go-getters. It’s inspiring to be around this environment.’

Aside from where you work and live, what’s a place that makes this city feel like home?

‘Twisted Cantina in Pilsen. This is one of the first bars that ever opened their doors to me when I first started DJing. I grew so much as a person and DJ while having a residency here. The management, people and vibes are like no other and they’re basically family. This will always be home for me.’

Do you have a favorite piece of art in the House?
‘The Angel Otero piece by Cowshed.’

What was the last great meal you had?
‘A slice of Lou Malnati pizza with Valentina hot sauce on it.’

What’s the last song you listened to today?
‘“Binz” by Solange’

Manu is a singer based in Miami.

Has there been a specific event at the House that you’ve loved?
‘I loved the Jeremy Scott breakfast during Art Basel 2017. It was a nice breakfast by the ocean and a great talk — I love all the events that tell another artist's story.’

Aside from Soho House, what’s a place in Miami where you’ll always take a visitor?
‘The PAMM with lunch in their gorgeous cafe.’

Do you have a favorite piece of art in the House?
‘The hallway has been one of my favorites forever for the art that hangs there.’

What was the last great meal you had?
‘Taco night with my whole family for my dad’s birthday.’

What’s the last song you listened to today?
‘Songs from my new EP that are getting mastered.’

TORONTO: Jeff Osborne

man sitting with wine in park

Jeff is a sommelier and host of the House’s monthly Wine Club.

What do you love about this city?
'
The culture. I live in the West Queen West neighborhood and though this has been a trendy area in the midst of gentrification for several years now, I truly believe it is currently ground zero for the booming cocktail, natural wine and food scenes. Small, cool, well-thought out places are opening weekly and by the right people with the right experience, passion and trail-blazing spirit. I feel like Toronto is quickly becoming one of the great eating and drinking cities of the world and that outsiders are beginning to take notice.’

Aside from Soho House and the place you live, what’s the place in this city that makes it feel like home?
‘Despite living in the West, I really dig Woodbine Beach and the beaches neighborhoods in general. I have discussed many life decisions and have had many deep conversations with friends while strolling the boardwalk or chilling on the beach.’

What was the last great meal you had?
‘My girlfriend and I went on a double date with our friends and decided to do a neighborhood tour.  We started with barrel-aged tequila negronis and boutique cheese at my place. Then we headed to Paris Paris for some natural wine, beef tartar and blue cheese-crusted steak with onion rings for appetizer. After that we went to Apres Wine Bar for entrees of crab legs, eggplant nduga, more beef tartar and fried fish sandwiches, accompanied by some outstanding Foradori ’Nosiola’ from Friuli in Italy.’

What’s the last song you listened to today?
‘“Thotiana” by Blueface — just the right amount of energy and cheesiness to get me back to work after lunch.’
