Whether you’re sun-kissed and well-rested, still recovering from summer burnout or simply can’t wait to get back to business, autumn is a great opportunity for fresh starts. A new business idea? New collaborative project? A cosy new wardrobe for colder months? Bring it on. Perhaps it’s time to rethink the way we work, too. The past few years have been a journey; one minute we’ve accepted Zoom as the new norm for all work interactions, and the next we’re back in a busy office fighting for the last available meeting room – apparently, some employees waste up to 27 hours a year looking for somewhere to meet). Thankfully, Soho Works is just the right place to create your own unique way of working – with meeting rooms, phone booths and focus booths in abundance, not to mention the networking opportunities and food and drink offerings, it beats working from home any day.

At Soho Works, there are plenty of elements that help creatives thrive: flexibility, community and collaboration. Stylish decor (including polished wooden desks, marble tables and soft plush chairs) and good lighting are also high up on the list – as is a steady supply of quality coffee.

It’s the ultimate base for making things happen. So, here’s everything you need to know about getting a membership in London, LA and New York.

What is Soho Works?

Soho Works is a network of workspaces by Soho House, designed and equipped to help creative thinkers and businesses connect, collaborate, and grow. Our spaces combine the ‘home away from home’ feeling of our Houses with all the tools, technology and equipment to help you do your best work. Each workspace offers meeting rooms, studios, flexible private hire options, and a curated programme of member events.

Where are Soho Works locations

Currently, there are three locations in New York: 10 Jay and 55 Water in Brooklyn, and 875 Washington in Manhattan. There’s also one in Los Angeles, which is at 9000 Sunset, and four in London: 180 The Strand, Dean Street, Shoreditch, and White City.

Sharing a consistent style and ethos, each location has its own unique character – London’s 180 The Strand has a considerably different feel to LA’s outpost on Sunset Boulevard (we’re obsessed with their powder-pink sofas). You’ll come across various businesses, but also spot familiar faces or run into that one globe-trotting old friend, as membership at any of our spaces gives you worldwide access.

How can I become a member of Soho Works?

You don’t need to be a Soho House member to become a Soho Works member – everyone is welcome to apply (quick, tell your extended team). However, Soho House members and Soho Friends get a special rate.

There are four types of membership

Lounge
Hot-desk membership that offers adaptable working and complete flexibility.

Desk
Your own desk to suit your style of working, with lockable storage and two meeting room credits per month.

Office
Lockable private spaces for teams to work and collaborate, with a number of meeting room credits per month (these get snapped up quickly, so keep your eyes peeled for availability).

Off peak (UK only)
Are you a night owl or a weekend warrior? Then our off-peak membership is perfect for you. You’ll be able to make the most of Soho Works Lounge access from 5pm, Monday to Friday, and throughout the weekend. Plus, you’ll receive all the benefits of being a standard Soho Works member. You’ll also gain exclusive access to our Soho Works app, where you can book evening events and meeting rooms, all offered at a reduced rate from 7pm.

Why Soho Works?

Soho Works offers plenty of things other spaces don’t. It’s a comfortable, inspiring and tasteful environment. We also have coffee table books and iconic furniture for the design buffs, creating the ideal setting for spontaneous lightbulb-moment conversations with fellow creatives. Knowing that you’re in the right place at the right time surrounded by your people is also a great feeling. You’ll be met with new opportunities, learnings from others, and a nurturing collaborative spirit.

We also run member-led discussions, podcasts and wellness sessions – and continually support our members’ businesses and ideas by championing projects through our communication and content channels. There’s our Accelerator Programme, too, which helps evaluate your business and elevate it to the next level through a series of industry-led workshops and mentoring sessions. Additionally, we launched our Investors Club where members can pitch ideas and products for investment at quarterly pitch days.

Finally, we have our specially selected app founders – a group of our own Soho Works members who we’ve highlighted to provide support and become the voice of our community. Just like our members, we are passionate about all the exciting new things coming – and the journey that gets you there.
