A taste of the new menu at Soho House West Hollywood

Renowned LA chef Nancy Silverton is taking over the Garden, plus we’re bringing back some member-favourite snacks throughout the week

Ever since Soho House West Hollywood first opened its doors in 2010, we’ve served a signature menu of Californian-inspired dishes made with seasonal ingredients, as well as much-loved member favourites. But in the spirit of our new interiors refresh, we decided it was time to shake things up in the kitchen, too. 

Introducing certified LA culinary legend, Nancy Silverton. With multiple critically acclaimed restaurants under her belt – including the Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza – the Cali-based chef will be taking over the menu with her signature artisanal Italian-inspired flavours. From Wednesday 22 October, the Garden restaurant will be offering 22 newly curated dishes.

For starters, there’s Smoked Scamorza and Parmigiano Arancine or Caesar Crostini with garlic aioli, braised leeks, and egg with Cantabrian anchovy. Salads span a 10 Veggie Cobb of shaved market vegetables and pepitas with a herb vinaigrette, along with Nancy’s Nicoise featuring ventresca tuna. For the main event, choose between Grilled Whole Branzino (with preserved lemon aioli, salsa verde and spicy romesco), Braised Chicken Thighs (with pickled chillis and broccoli di cicco) or a 28oz Bone-In Ribeye Steak (with black olive tapenade, white beans and long cooked greens). Additions to the Wood-Fired Pizza menu include Long Cooked Broccoli with fennel sausage and caciocavallo cheese or Potato & Rosemary with pecorino and black pepper. And that’s not all – next year, we’ll be introducing an entirely new menu, with every dish masterminded by Silverton.

Meanwhile, a new cocktail menu is currently being developed by a local bar (stay tuned for more details coming soon). Plus, we’ll be reintroducing Tea Time – a former member favourite, with self-serve Victoria sponge cake and scones with cream, jam and strawberries available at the Sitting Room bar between 3pm and 5pm during the week. You’ll also find a jar of British biscuits for the English tradition of ‘Elevenses’ (aka the vital snack between breakfast and lunch). Plus, look out for the British-inspired Sunday Roast included as part of the weekly Feast – an unlimited spread served from 11am to 3pm. 

To avoid the risk of forgetting you’re in Hollywood – and not the rolling English countryside –simply order a Martini. Our signature cocktail is now served as a sidecar (i.e. with a separate, small serving of leftover liquor from the shaker, kept on ice to ensure an extra-cold pour). Other touches include the bread service with whipped goat’s cheese offered as a complimentary amuse-bouche in the Garden, or the chocolate truffle that arrives with the bill. Bon appetit.
