Maya arrives at Shoreditch House

Born in Soho House West Hollywood in 2019, Maya brought coastal Baja Mexican food to our Los Angeles members (and those passing through).

The menu was created by executive chef Giacomo Pettinari, tapping into his love and knowledge of regional Mexican cooking, alongside his predominantly Oaxacan team. Pettinari told us, ‘I took myself out to Mexican restaurants all around Los Angeles, from vegan to street-food concepts; I wanted to try everything I could [to create the menu].’ Since then, the dishes have been a hit with guests year after year, so we couldn’t keep it in the States alone.

The restaurant was brought over to Berlin this spring, where it was equally well received. And now, our London members and visitors will be able to sample the delicious food too, as Maya has opened on the back deck of the Shoreditch House rooftop; the bright and open space is perfect for those summer evenings. We’ve also heard rumours of a Bloody Mary beer (Michelada) for a refreshing sip as you bask in the sunshine.

So, what exactly is on this in-demand menu? Based around a sharing concept of vibrant, colourful dishes, you can expect Cactus Tostadas, Baja Cod Tacos and Enchiladas, plus Churros to finish up. We also offer an extensive range of tequila and mezcal, which pair perfectly with the plates, alongside cocktails such as the Mayan Negroni and the Paloma.
