Known for his original designs and charro influences, CDMX member Patricio Campillo Taracena tells us about his journey in fashion and the best spots around town

Born and raised in Mexico, Patricio Campillo Taracena was surrounded by charro culture and traditions, so it’s no surprise that his clothing brand, The Pack, is inspired by this aesthetic. In February 2016, Taracena launched the project as a men’s fashion company that aimed to push the boundaries of masculinity and tradition.

Combining his expertise in communication (learnt at university) with his love for design, he creates a unique style drawn from his childhood experiences, charro culture and the contemporary Mexican art wave. ‘My style, like my work, is in constant evolution,’ says Taracena, and he continuously strives to blur the line between genders, focusing on sustainability and praising Mexican culture.

He admits the fashion scene in Mexico is still at a maturing stage, but his new shop in Juárez, designed by Bettina Kiehnle of Studio IMA, is playing a part in moving it forward.

Here, he shares the best spots around Mexico City.
