A DJ at the decks

The Babington House member and Soho Farmhouse resident DJ shares a playlist of his top tunes

‘When I’m not DJing at my Soho Farmhouse residency, a sweaty club night (remember those?), or one of Babington House’s sun-soaked outdoor parties, I’m always keeping myself busy across a multitude of projects.

‘I’ve been deeply involved in the sneaker and streetwear game for the best part of three decades, so I’m regularly called on for my knowledge and expertise of the culture. This includes working with heritage auction houses Christie’s and Sotheby’s to curate specialist sales in New York, London, and Hong Kong.

‘As a freelance writer focusing on men’s lifestyle, fashion and culture, I enjoy working with a variety of interesting clients, from editorial titles such as Highsnobiety to global brands like Dr Martens.

‘Music is always running through my veins, and since the pandemic restricted 99% of my DJ gigs, I’ve been diversifying into music curation for an eclectic range of companies. It’s been fascinating getting to know the musical needs of different businesses in order to curate perfect soundtracks that complement individual brands, their clientele, and their employees. It keeps me discovering exciting new artists and reacquainting myself with old classics – as a music lover, I can’t ask for anything more.

‘For many, being stuck at home can feel like a daunting prospect, but music is a great ally that can soothe, inspire, and motivate you through lockdown. The aim of my LockDown2 playlist is to give you a big audio hug, with a selection of tunes to both relax your mind and energise your positivity.’
