A look inside: The Living Room Series: An Afro Culture Experience

In celebration of Women’s History Month, DUMBO House member Kojo Mensah – founder of the Kosah Foundation and creator of the Living Room Series: An Afro Culture Experience – hosted an event shining a light on African women and how they carry the African Diaspora through art, fashion, dance, and music, while also highlighting what it means to be empowered in Western culture.

Despite it being a Sunday night, DUMBO House was packed with members and guests living for the designs by Eldior Sodeck, food by Brooklyn Suya, live painting by Cyd (aka moscacyd), and music and vibes set by DJ Wemi, DJ Mohogany, and AQ. Kojo Mensah also sat down with Diana Tettey and Angela Tettey from the special percussive dance performance group, JammersGH to talk about the importance of celebrating and sharing African culture.
