It’s no secret that shopping can be overwhelming at times. Whether you’re after a new piece of furniture for your home, revamping your skincare routine or you simply want to treat yourself to a new bag, the options are never-ending – especially when browsing online.

Thankfully, the Soho House editorial team is here to help you decide what’s worth the investment, with a weekly round-up of what to shop – from the best in beauty to fashion and interior must-haves, and beyond. This week, we’ve got our eyes on autumnal lighting options, rainbow-inspired knitwear, and a bag that’s giving us all the 1990s nostalgia.

1. The autumn-approved chandelier

Daylight savings time is almost upon us, which means we need to get serious about how we’re fending off the darkness this winter. For those not inclined to lighting half measures, this Soho House chandelier is the obvious choice: its Champagne-tinted glass globes feature tiny bubbles that cast shadows and create subtle texture.

2. The cloud-based cardigan

The return of the winter wardrobe, alongside an ongoing Y2K fascination, means that fashion’s current colour palette is overwhelmingly earthy. Of course, this observation is offered without comment (after all, we didn’t say ‘drab’), but when head-to-toe brown has you spiralling, we recommend Rose Carmine’s cloud-inspired, rainbow-hued cardigan.

3. The armchair accessory

Chesterfield sofas aren’t usually synonymous with portability. In fact, we’d go so far as to say they’re notoriously immobile. So if on-the-go-upholstery energy is important to you, we have good news: Maison Margiela has encapsulated it in one reasonably sized cross-body bag.

4. The ‘laces are for suckers’ sneakers

The sneaker community is never not thirsty for a collaboration – and a collaboration that resurrects an old favourite is basically guaranteed to send it into a meltdown. So prepare yourselves, because Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo has teamed up with Nike on the Air Max Sunder – a laceless style that was first introduced in 1999, and is available exclusively at Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market (*browser refreshing intensifies*).

5. The sweatpants that kind of aren’t

We’re right in the middle of problematic fave, grey sweatpants season – but sometimes ultra-casual doesn’t quite cut it. Indulging in a bit of suiting cosplay (from the waist down, at least), Off-White’s Quote trackpants mean you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for a smarter, more streamlined silhouette.

6. The reimagined signet ring

Bottega Green’s chokehold on, well, everyone, shows no sign of abating – so we’re leaning into it with Veert’s enamel signet ring. It’s available in 18ct yellow gold vermeil, or 18ct solid yellow gold, for those unbothered by austerity.

7. The legacy shoulder bag

We would like to outline the cultural significance of the Balenciaga City bag, but frankly, there’s not enough space. There is enough space to say that with its biker-inspired accents and hardware that reference the original 1990s icon, the brand’s Le Cagole bag is basically sending us into nostalgia overdrive.

8. The guilt-free down jacket

We don’t think it’s melodramatic to say that it’s a bonkers time to be alive. When it all gets too much, we suggest you cocoon yourself in Prada’s down jacket, in much the same way as you might wrap, say, a baby bird in a mohair blanket (please note: we are not ornithologists, maybe don’t do this). The jacket is cut from nylon that’s made from recycled ocean plastics – so that’s one less thing to worry about, at least.

9. The ‘f**k it, let’s go dancing’ sandals

If swaddling’s not your stress outlet, these platforms probably are. Nodaleto’s gold Bulla Joni sandals are, obviously, super glam, but they’ve also got a slightly cartoonish quality (seriously, is anyone else getting Marge Simpson?) that speaks to fashion’s ongoing obsession with surrealism.

10. The monogram socks

Remember that earthy Y2K aesthetic we didn’t trash-talk earlier? These socks are why we didn’t. In fact, this pair are the platonic ideal of that aesthetic. Just kidding, they’re just socks, but they’ve got an all-over monogram that’s going to look great with your favourite pair of loafers.

11. The wear-them-forever Derbys

New stuff is great, but sometimes you can’t beat a classic. Marsèll’s Alluce Derby lace-ups are handmade in the Riviera del Brenta area, near Venice – and with their multitasking appeal, they’ll take the stress out of those ‘what shoes should I wear?’ moments.

12. The coffee table book

A limited-edition photography book created by White City House member, Priya Ahluwalia, and photographed by Laurence Ellis, Jalebi is a study of family and community. It explores Ahluwalia’s upbringing as a young, mixed-heritage person living in Southall, Britain’s first Punjabi community.
