The Japanese spirit brand bought the art of omakase (leaving your dinner choices up to the chef) to Music City last night for an intimate dinner

Merging Japanese food with its revered spirits, Beam Suntory hosted an omakase pop-up at Soho House Nashville, where both the dishes and the cocktails competed for table space. Servings of crispy rice with uni, wild snow crab, sea bream and amberjack were crowd favourites, while desert came in the form of black sesame mochi.
Complementing each dish was a carefully crafted cocktail pairing using a range of base spirits, a unique approach to omakase (where the diner leaves their dinner up to the whim of the chef). The Rising Sun whet the appetite with Hibiki Harmony mixed with Chartreuse, Bénédictine, and vermouth. The Jasmine Twist and Shiroi Spritz used Roku gin and Haku vodka, respectively, to create two refreshing drinks that relied on citrus flavours to round off the rich flavours of uni and sashimi. The Sakura Ginger featured Suntory Toki Whisky with ginger, cherry and mint for a complex blend.
