Around the Houses and our Cities Without Houses communities, we celebrated the holiday season in style

This month, our members joined us in the Houses – as well as within our Cities Without Houses communities around the world – for parties, talks, networking mixers, and the latest edition of White City House’s Storytime for Kids event series.

Glasgow Design Guild dinner
Cities Without Houses, Glasgow
Ninety Cities Without Houses members from all over Scotland joined us for a Design Guild dinner at Glasgow’s BAad, to celebrate the country’s emerging contemporary furniture and homeware design scene. For the event, which included an interactive exhibition, we partnered with Edinburgh-based design collective Slancha and the Isle of Harris Distillery, who provided members with Gin & Tonics.

Cities Without Houses, Glasgow
Ninety Cities Without Houses members from all over Scotland joined us for a Design Guild dinner at Glasgow’s BAad, to celebrate the country’s emerging contemporary furniture and homeware design scene. Wax Tales
Cities Without Houses, Manchester
With the help of our Cities Without Houses Manchester members, we kicked off a new event series, Wax Tales, which sees a surprise guest choose 12 records that have influenced their life, work and success. For the inaugural edition, host Jordan Stephens was joined by guest Ashley Thomas (Bashy) for a conversation of musical discovery.

Soho Mews House
In this regular morning series, high-profile guests from the world of fashion discuss their careers, ambitions and inspirations over coffee and breakfast at Soho Mews House. One of the biggest names working in British fashion today, Erdem’s ethereal and fantastical creations, imbued with a heavy dose of romance, have been worn by Kristen Stewart, Zendaya and Kate Middleton.

Member Mixer with the International Film Festival of India
Cities Without Houses, Goa
To celebrate the flourishing creative community, we co-hosted a Member Mixer with the director of the 55th and 56th International Film Festival of India, Shekhar Kapur. The evening took place at the newly launched Jaffna Jump Sri Lankan bar and bistro in Panjim, with Cities Without Houses members from across India, members of the international festival jury, and Goa-based art and film creatives all in attendance.

The event was hosted by Blue Peter presenter Shini Muthukrishnan, and the pair were joined by Kay’s illustrator Henry Paker for some live drawing, too.

Cities Without Houses, New Orleans
As the triennial arts festival returned to New Orleans, bringing artists from more than 30 countries to showcase their work in the city, we created a space at the event’s Artist Party. In partnership with 1-800-Feenin, the immersive experience included a tattoo pop-up from Tough Love Tattoos.

AfroTech afterparty
Cities Without Houses, Houston
As part of AfroTech Conference’s debut in Houston (which usually finds its home in Austin), we hosted an R&B afterparty, where members and guests enjoyed complimentary Champagne and a special line-up of DJs.

Friendsgiving with AMBUSH and CENSU
Cities Without Houses, Tokyo
We welcomed members to celebrate Friendsgiving with a One Night Only dinner in collaboration with fashion brand AMBUSH and the team at CENSU, known for crafting dining experiences that engage all five senses. Guests enjoyed a special Thanksgiving-inspired menu curated by CENSU, paired with champagne from Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and a soundtrack by DJ Ryota.
