MEiiYO Presents is a monthly beauty talk curated by Soho House member and MEiiYO CEO and cofounder, Onyekachi Amadi. In honour of National Hispanic Heritage Month, MEiiYO is proud to present a panel of beauty founders of Latinx descent. Hear from Stephanie Montes, the founder of Nue; Michelle Vidal, the founder of Alka Glam; Jessica Montalvo of sbj esntls; Gabriela Hernandez, cofounder of Bésame Cosmetics, and Angela Ubias from Common Heir. There will be light bites served, and attendees will be given product samples from brands being highlighted.

3. Cody Keenan presents Grace: Ten Extraordinary Days in America and What They Mean Now at Soho House West Hollywood
Join Barack Obama’s chief speechwriter Cody Keenan and Pod Save America’s Tommy Vietor for a conversation about finding hope, fighting despair, and the clash of wills at the heart of Keenan’s new memoir, Grace: President Obama And Ten Days In The Battle For America, the incredible true story of the 10 most dramatic days of the Obama presidency. Keenan rose from a campaign intern in Chicago to become chief speechwriter at the White House and Barack Obama’s post-presidential collaborator. A sought-after expert on politics, messaging and current affairs, he is a partner at leading speechwriting firm Fenway Strategies and teaches a popular course on political speechwriting at his alma mater Northwestern University. Vietor is a cofounder of Crooked Media, co-host of Pod Save America, and the host of the foreign policy-focused Pod Save The World. In a past life, he worked for President Obama for nine years, including a stint as White House National Security Spokesman.

Join us for the launch of Daniel Kaven’s book, Architecture Of Normal: The Colonization Of The American Landscape, and a discussion of the history and future of design in America. Kaven’s expansive literary and visual assemblage, called an ‘enthralling cautionary tale about the future’ by Metropolis magazine, explores how evolving transportation technologies have shaped America’s built environment, and examines the connection between urbanisation and colonisation in the American West.

5. Jazz Kiki hosted by Jonnie Reinhart at Holloway House
Head to the House for a jazz-inspired lounge act hosted by half-chanteuse, half-rock star, Jonnie Reinhart, backed by close friend and collaborator Benny Lipson, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist.

7. Jazz night with Ego Deth at Soho Warehouse
Ego Deth is an all improv, experimental collision of jazz, hip-hop and sounds pulled from a place outside of space and time, held together by collective consciousness. Each experience is unique unto itself, never to be repeated again. The evening will feature band leader and music director Christopher Wray (Butch Walker, Lykke Li) on guitar, Thomas Drayton (Childish Gambino, Van Hunt) on bass, Chaun Horton (Raphael Saadiq, Macy Gray) on drums, Ron Avant (Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals) on keys, and Wow Jones (MD for Post Malone, Don Toliver) on aux, as well as special guests.

Join the membership team for this desert Soho Weekender you won’t want to miss. We’re working with our friends at The Willows Historic Palm Springs Inn and St James Tea to create a special weekend of fun in the sun. 10. Chef’s Table: inspired by National Hispanic History Month at Holloway House
Spend Sunday evening with Jose Dozal, executive chef of Holloway House. Hear about his experience in the culinary world and his inspirations for the menu at Holloway, plus try some of the new dishes he’s excited to share with you. This month, the chefs are preparing dishes and treats from Latin American countries, in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
