During Paris Fashion Week Men’s, we hosted a special party at Soho House Paris to celebrate the news that we’ll be opening a Soho House in Tokyo. High-profile guests from the world of fashion attended, alongside Cities Without Houses members who were eager for a taste of what’s to come.
Hosted by streetwear brand Neighborhood – which has teamed up with adidas to mark its 30th anniversary with a reissue of the Superstar trainer – guests included fashion designers Jun Takahashi and Errolson Hugh; dancer and rapper Mandy Sekiguchi; fashion curator Motofumi ‘Poggy’ Kogi; model Kozue Akimoto; dancer Koharu Sugawara; hip-hop artist KB; actor and entrepreneur Edison Chen; The Clash former bassist Paul Simonon, and Neighborhood creative director, Shinsuke Takizawa.
On the sunlit terrace, guests mingled poolside and enjoyed French classics from the House menu such as oysters and Croque Monsieur alongside Picantes and Champagne, before heading inside for the afterparty. Takizawa hit the decks in the Cabaret Room, followed by Gimme Five founder Michael Kopelman, Simonon, and Japanese DJ Licaxxx who kept the crowd dancing until the early hours.
Situated in the Aoyama district near Omotesando, the new House in Tokyo will be set across four floors with minimalist Japanese-inspired interiors and become the fourth Soho House in Asia.
