Anti-Valentine’s: Alternative ways to celebrate the day

Anti-Valentine’s: Alternative ways to celebrate the day | Soho House

Whether you’re single, spending it with friends or simply sick of all the romantic stuff, across the Houses you’ll find plenty of different events to mark the occasion

Monday 6 February 2023   By Chloe Lawrance

Like it or loathe it, it’s hard to avoid Valentine’s Day at this time of year. Cards covered with proclamations of love sit beside supermarket self-checkouts; your Instagram feed is suddenly jam-packed with happy couples on romantic getaways; and even the most single of your friends seems to be soft-launching their new beau in time for the big day. For the love-averse among us, it’s hard not to feel a little cynical about the whole thing.

The good news is, there are lots of alternative ways to spend the day around the Houses. Workshops to help you find your new favourite hobby, parties to be seen at and self-love sessions that’ll have you deleting Tinder for good. We’ve even thrown in some speed dating, just in case you want to secure that dinner date for next year.
